Choosing a dog breed is almost as important as choosing a dog. Often, we hear the question “Which breed is best?” and the answer is always the same – Everyone will be different! We want to prepare you with the good, the bad, and the fluffy so you’re confident and ready for your next puppy!
The Good:
Goldendoodles (a mix between a standard poodle and a golden retriever) are known for being a social and outgoing breed that is eager to please. They are very intelligent which makes them very trainable. Goldendoodles are an excellent choice for a family pet or companion. With proper training and time, they will be your next best friend.
The Bad:
When making a decision as important as adopting a puppy, I think it is wise to discuss the good AND the bad. While there is not much “bad” when it comes to Goldendoodles, if I had to point out one characteristic of goldendoodles that could be perceived as a quirk, I would pick energy level. Goldendoodles love to play and socialize– they are kind of the “social butterflies” of the doodle breeds. With proper training, plenty of human attention, daily play time and lots of love, their energy level usually doesn’t cause any issues.
