Reserve a specific puppy and that gets the date on the calendar- and you can take your favorite pup home that very same day.  Reservation fees go towards the price of your puppy.  Reservation fees are NON-REFUNDABLE should you not pick a puppy but can be transferred to a future puppy.
  • Crate Training $500:
    • The goal of the Crate Training Program is to get your puppy comfortable in his or her crate before he or she makes the transition to their new home. By introducing your puppy to the crate prior to coming to your home, you are significantly reducing the amount of stress your puppy is exposed to in his or her new environment. Plus, we get to listen to the whining and barking the first week as they learn to love their crate, and you do not have to! Your puppy will begin spending just 1-2 hours a day in the crate. We will gradually increase the time that your puppy spends in the crate each day based on their individualized readiness. Usually, at the end of this 2 week crate training, your puppy is loving their nap time in their crate. This training makes bringing a puppy into your home a much less stressful time for you and the puppy. The price of this training program is $500 and takes place during weeks 6 and 7 before the puppy leaves our nursery to go to his/her forever home.
  • Crate Training + Manners: $1000
    • In addition to crate training, we will introduce your puppy to basic leash training, teach them to “sit” on command and teach them it is not okay to jump.  Throw in some advanced crate training and potty training and you will have a solid foundation to build upon. This is recommended and designed for families with small children or first time puppy owners.
  • In-Home Puppy Boot Camp: $1500
    •  Puppies enrolled in this program will live in the home with a Double U Doodles’ trainer for 1 week after leaving the Double U Doodles’ nursery.  This 1 week intensive Puppy Boot Camp follows “Baxter and Bella” training techniques (www.baxterandbella.com) focusing on using good manners while walking on the leash, commands “sit”, “stay”, “wait”, crate training, and establishing house training foundation.  Your puppy will also receive continued puppy enrichment activities (new toys, socialization, puzzles, games, etc.) similar to those used in the nursery.  The Puppy Boot Camp helps the transition to your home less stressful on the puppy, as well as their new humans. Due to the amount of one on one attention this training requires, availability is very limited.  Please inquire for details and availability by emailing us at [email protected] or TEXT US at 864-770-5368.
  • Board and Train (6months and older):
    • Basic Obedience: $1500
      • Now booking for SPRING/SUMMER 2023.  Contact us for scheduling 864-770-5368.

Hey guys!  This is Becca, YOUR BREEDER!!  Thank you for visiting my site and considering ME as your breeder!  This is my passion and I stand behind everything we do at Double U Doodles.  I know how important price is when it comes to making a decision as important as this.  I wanted to offer you further transparency and answer the question I know you want to ask….

“Why Do Our Puppies Cost So Dang Much!?”

I can’t speak for all breeders, only myself, but here is why our puppies cost so dang much.  At Double U Doodles, our moms are our priority.  My philosophy is this…If I can’t afford to care for mom the way she deserves to be cared for, I do not want to do this.  Period.

There is a direct correlation between how well cared for mom is and how happy and healthy her puppies are.  Moms at Double U Doodles receive the highest caliber care at our nursery.  Anything they need, they get.  My team is devoted to making sure mama is happy and has everything she needs during her prenatal period.

Mom is monitored meticulously through the labor and delivery process with on-call vet care just a call away.  Mom and puppies are cared for 7 days a week by trained puppy nurses each with multiple years of experiences in whelping puppies.  A puppy doesn’t drop an ounce in our nursery without us knowing…not an exaggeration.

So, let me stop there for a second and go off on a tangent.  Everyone’s worst fear when adopting a puppy is that they are going to get (1) scammed or (2) end up with a breeder (who is an idiot) with less than ethical breeding practices.  Well guess what?!   Pups from those breeders are probably going to cost about half of what mine do.  Those breeders are probably raising their pups in a dang bathroom with no outdoor access to potty (which means house training is going to be a nightmare!!!!) or worse which I don’t even want to think about.  I can tell you how hard it is to keep puppies happy, healthy, clean and thriving.  You can’t do it in a bathroom…at least not to our standards you can’t.

Back on track…our whelp rooms are set up so that they function well for each developmental stage for the puppy.  From early neurological stimulation exercises with each puppy everyday, to startle desensitization, to puppy enrichment time, each stage is structured to help the puppies reach their full potential.  For example, as soon as they are old enough, around 5 weeks, our pups are taught to pee and poop outside!  This is their instinct…they want to potty away from where they sleep.  Not giving them access to the outside is only making YOUR job of house training more difficult.

One more thing and then I’ll stop…most breeders get into breeding thinking all of their pups will find homes by 8 weeks old.  When I started, I knew that wouldn’t always be the case.  Remember that I said I have to be able to afford to care for mama the way she deserves to be cared for or I do not want to do this.  The same is the case for my 8+ weekers.  These guys deserve to continue their journey to becoming the best dog ever.  If I can’t afford to give them what they deserve, once again, I don’t want to do this.  All my 8+ weekers start training…crate, leash, obedience and continued socialization.  The care, attention, love, socialization and progress does not slow down for my puppies after 8 weeks.

If you are considering adopting a puppy from Double U Doodles and have further questions, please don’t hesitate to email us at [email protected] or TEXT US at 864-770-5368.

Becca
